Creative Ways to Repurpose My Old Alexa

I have an old Alexa (I think it's version 2) that isn't working properly, and I'm curious about how I might be able to repurpose it. Are there any coding projects or other DIY ideas for something like this? If you have any tutorial videos or resources to share, that would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

If you really don't want to toss it, maybe consider turning it into a speaker or something else by swapping out the internals for those of a small MCU dev board. Just make sure you have some tech skills to pull it off. Otherwise, it might be time to say goodbye!

I always hate to throw stuff away! But yeah, sometimes it just isn’t worth it.

Honestly, your Alexa is likely more e-waste than anything useful. If you still want to try, you could salvage parts like the enclosure and the speaker. From there, you might consider fitting in a small microcontroller board like an ESP32 to create a new project from it. That's probably your best bet!

Thanks for the ideas!
