Hey everyone! I've got a bit of a situation: there are dead mice under my kitchen cabinets, and I'm ready to tackle the problem myself. However, I'm torn between removing the kickboard or cutting out the bottom of the cabinet to get access. Which option would be easier, or is there another method you recommend to clean this up?

Honestly, I think cutting out the bottom of the cabinet is your best bet. Removing the kickboard might actually not give you enough access, depending on how your cabinets are constructed. If you go this route, use a jigsaw but don’t cut too close to the sides; leave a bit of edge for support. Then you can brace up a new plywood bottom and it’ll be easier to access in the future if needed!
I did something similar before! I cut out my cabinet bottom because it was all water damaged and replaced it with plywood. Just be careful and check for any pipes while you’re at it.
