Dealing with Pigeon Poop in the Garden

Hey everyone! We have some little hedgehog friends visiting our garden, or at least that's what we thought! However, our backyard is completely covered in poop, and it's becoming quite a problem. We're talking about around 10 new little droppings every night! If we don't pick them up daily, it just gets worse—we even counted up to 50 after a few rainy days. With three kids playing around, it's really not ideal stepping on our grass. I suspect the bird feeder we have might be attracting them, but could anyone give us advice on how to control this? Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Oh, and just to clarify, we've never actually seen a hedgehog, but the droppings look similar to pictures I've found online.

Are you sure they're hedgehog droppings? From my experience, wood pigeons leave behind pretty big poop all over the place. You might want to check that out before chasing away any hedgehogs! Maybe that’s what you’re really dealing with here.

Definitely sounds like you're on to something here. Could be time to set up some deterrents for the pigeons instead of the hedgehogs!

Oh wow, I have four wood pigeons hanging around too! I didn't consider them at all, but now it makes sense. Thanks for the tip!
