I came home after the 4th of July celebration to find that my toilet is completely clogged, and it's the worst situation I've experienced. I spent about an hour trying to plunge it last night, but the water level stayed stable, so I thought I'd try soaking it with peroxide to help break up the clog. Unfortunately, the water level slowly rose during the night, and I woke up to a big puddle in my bathroom! I've already turned off the cistern's water supply to avoid more flooding.
This morning, I've been battling with a toilet plunger featuring pflanges, trying to plunge both slowly and quickly. I hear this thudding sound that seems to mean water is hitting something stuck in the pipes, but after another half-hour of plunging and even attempting that plastic bag trick around the scrubber head, all I've managed to do is make a mess and expand the puddle on the floor.
Does anyone have any other suggestions before I call in a plumber? I don't have a wire or auger on hand, but that might be my next best bet if I can't solve this soon!

A good old remedy is to use boiling water mixed with dish soap. If there's any water flow, the heat can help loosen up solids and fats. Pour the hot soapy water into the toilet—it might take a little time, but it could work wonders for breaking up your clog.
It sounds like you’re really having a tough time! If you can get your hands on some liquid plumber gel, that could be worth a shot. Just plunge it a few times to help push it down the drain. If that doesn’t work, using a drain snake or toilet auger after watching a few tutorials could be the way to go. They're fairly cheap and super useful for clogged toilets.
You might want to try using some vinegar and baking soda! Just pour them directly into the toilet bowl and let the reaction happen—this could help break up the clog. Just be careful not to push anything further down when you're plunging.
