Hey everyone! We recently bought a small renovated house and needed to fix some leaky valves in our laundry room and install a dishwasher (which we already have sitting in the garage). My wife arranged for the plumbers, saying they would do some "prep" work for the dishwasher, which included work under the sink and in the crawl space. However, when the plumbers arrived, they seemed completely unaware of any dishwasher prep and only worked on the laundry room, which was fine. My question is: am I getting taken advantage of if I call them back for the dishwasher prep? Should I just switch to another company that can get their notes straight? The plumbers did a great job with the laundry, and they were highly recommended. I had to take a day off work for this, and it's tough to take more time off soon since my wife also can't help out. It's surprising that the plumbers didn't stick to the plan. If they were supposed to prep for the dishwasher, they should’ve communicated better. Next time, maybe both you and your wife should double-check the details with the plumbers before the visit. As for the costs, calling them again might be similar unless they come at a premium time.
