Did I Overdo It With Garlic Fertilizer?

I accidentally over-fertilized my garlic by using Neptune Harvest fish fertilizer. I meant to dilute 60 ml in 2 gallons of water, but I miscalculated and used 6 oz instead. I realized my mistake and immediately watered the garlic to help dilute the fertilizer. How serious is this mistake, and will it harm my plants?

Yeah, 60 ml is actually about 2 oz, so you gave it about three times the dose. But since you diluted it with watering, it should be alright. This fertilizer is mild, and it sounds like a pretty minor mistake. You don't need to add any more fertilizer now, just let it be!

Thanks! I planted it in October, and I've been worried about killing it now.

Garlic is pretty resilient, so you probably didn't do too much harm. It tends to do well in a variety of growing conditions, so I think it will be fine!

Watering it well afterward was definitely a smart move. Just out of curiosity, did you notice your mistake right after fertilizing, or was it a bit later?

I noticed it immediately!
