I'm a bit worried that I might have messed up my new raised bed. I recently moved into a house with a greenhouse and found a raised bed that hadn't been used in years. I completely cleared it out because the timbers were rotting, and I started fresh with new topsoil and compost. I also added some horse manure from work, which I collected around December. I used about a trug full of it, which was on the pasty side rather than completely fresh. Now I've learned that using fresh horse manure might not have been the best idea since it wasn't well-rotted. It makes up about 10% of the total volume in the bed. Am I in trouble, or is it going to be okay?

You should actually be fine! Rain and frost often help break down fresh manure, and since you’re not planting right away, it might just boost the soil. I’ve had great luck using it as a top dressing in the past. Good move on rejuvenating the bed!
What a relief! I was dreading having to redo everything, especially since I did all the work by hand. Hopefully, all this effort pays off!
