Did My Contractor Do a Good Job on These Granite Countertops?

Hey everyone! I recently had granite countertops installed in my rental property after replacing some cracked tile ones. I hired a contractor recommended by another homeowner from our local Facebook group, which in the past has led to great results. But when my fiancée and I checked the work yesterday, we found several issues that raised concerns. There's a chip in one piece of granite that was just caulked over, and the caulking and seams look pretty sloppy. Also, the bar extension isn't flush with the wall, and the granite near the oven juts out unevenly. Are we being too picky, or do you think this is an acceptable job? Thanks for your input!

This type of thing is pretty common with granite. It's cheaper than engineered quartz for a reason; you're never going to get it perfectly flawless. Just keep that in mind!

Honestly, I think they could tidy up the caulking a bit, but overall it looks pretty decent. A little cleanup on the edges could go a long way!

It looks fine to me! If the only issue is some messy caulking, that can easily be fixed later. Once your appliances are back in place, you might not even notice those small flaws.
