DIY Attachments for a 60V Power Head – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a simple way to purchase just the shaft that fits into my 60V trimmer power head. My goal is to create my own attachments, like a water pump or trolling motor, but I don't want to buy a complete trimmer head just to throw it away.

I've actually never seen just the motor available by itself, but I like your idea! You might have better luck finding a used power head without the trimmer attachment or one with a broken head that you wouldn't mind tossing out. It's worth a shot!

Just to clarify, you’re not really working with the motor itself. It’s more about the drive shaft inside the main shaft. If you're just doing a one-off project, maybe find a cheaper kit like a power brush and modify it instead.

You can actually buy a swappable power head that comes with different attachments. Try to find a kit that includes something you could really use!

Oh, I see! I misunderstood... I'm actually looking for the lower shaft, not the power head itself. Thanks for the heads up!

The cheapest route would be to grab a generic attachment from Amazon or just an extension pole. You want one with a square drive inside for a good fit!

Good point about the extension poles! I might need to make some adjustments to mount it properly, but that sounds like a solid starting point. Thanks a lot!
