I just finished building some garden beds but now I'm looking to add trellises without breaking the bank. What are some affordable ways I can make trellises at home?

I'm experimenting with a few different setups. One is using wire fencing secured to tomato stakes for my green beans, and I'm combining it with lettuce underneath. Also, I've got another trellis with tomato stakes and some kitchen twine for cucumbers. It's all a bit trial and error, but I'm excited to see how it turns out!
Bamboo is a fantastic option if you can find it locally; it's often invasive and people don't mind you taking some! I cut 5-6 ft sections for my trellises and even use them for other plants or as drying racks for onions. Keep an eye out for any bamboo patches around your area!
Yeah, I’ve seen bamboo growing wild around here too. Such a great way to repurpose invasive plants!
Sounds like a cool experiment! Good luck with the green beans and lettuce—they’ll make a great combo if it works out!
