Hey everyone! Just wanted to get some opinions from fellow DIYers and home mechanics. I've been using Milwaukee tools for a while now, and while they are undeniably great, I've had moments of doubt. For instance, I recently had a tough time removing a bolt because my ratchet didn't fit, while my neighbor's Rigid electric ratchet handled it in seconds. Not to mention, I sometimes see great deals on Rigid and other brands that make me cringe at how much I spent on my Milwaukee setup. Has anyone else felt regret about sticking with Milwaukee? Did you ever consider switching to a cheaper brand?

I’ve been in the same boat! As a plumber and DIYer, I own a mix of tools. Milwaukee is great for their reliability and interchangeable batteries across their product range. But I’ve definitely noticed other brands like Rigid offer solid options too, especially if you're on a budget. Ultimately, it depends on what you use them for; cordless tools aren't always necessary for everyone's needs.
I have 15 Milwaukee tools and found that waiting for deals significantly lowered costs. However, I've noticed some Rigid tools that could’ve been a better value for similar quality. Still, I don’t regret my Milwaukee choices because they’ve proven reliable in my many DIY projects.

It’s all about timing! I usually wait for sales on Milwaukee. If you're patient, the price difference can be way smaller than you think. Plus, once you invest in a battery system like M18, it's hard to switch brands without feeling the sting of buying all new batteries.
Totally agree! I transitioned to using only Milwaukee tools for simplicity. I’ve also sold extra batteries to manage costs.
Exactly! Many folks don't need all those cordless options. Some of the old-school tools are still true workhorses.
