I'm looking for some clarity on using FlexVolt batteries with 20V tools. I currently have a 6AH FlexVolt battery and a DCD1007 drill. Is there actually any advantage to using the FlexVolt battery instead of a regular 18V 5AH battery? Also, can anyone point me towards a list of other tools that might benefit from the FlexVolt batteries?

Your DCD1007 should work well with the FlexVolt batteries, just like the previous model. They often come packaged with an 8AH PowerPack, so you're likely set for good performance.
For optimal performance, consider upgrading to the 9Ah or 12Ah FlexVolt batteries. The 5Ah PowerStack and 8Ah are solid options too if you want a balance of power and size.
Yes, FlexVolt batteries can definitely improve performance in your drill. They handle power-hungry tools better than a standard 5AH XR. If you’re using demanding tools, you’ll definitely notice a boost in performance with the FlexVolt.
Using a 6Ah FlexVolt will give you a noticeable improvement, but if you really want the best performance, try a 5Ah PowerStack or even go for the 9Ah FlexVolt. However, if you're just doing light work, a regular 5Ah battery should do just fine.
Yeah, it really depends on what you're tackling. For most tasks, the 5Ah works great unless you're pushing the tool hard.
Totally agree! The FlexVolt's design means less voltage drop when things get tough, which is a big plus.
