Do I Have Everything I Need to Replace My Toilet’s Water Valve?

I'm trying to replace my toilet's water valve and I'm feeling a bit lost. I bought a SharkBite push-to-connect angle stop at my local hardware store, but the instructions are super unclear since they're mostly just images. I've also attached a link to photos of my current valve, the parts I purchased, and their contents. I've got some extra pieces that I'm confused about: there's a nut, a round copper piece, and a 3/4 circle part. No idea how these fit into my setup! I feel like I can handle this project, but it's like I've gotten parts for a board game without any instructions. Where do I even start? Here's the link to the photos: https://imgur.com/a/mmT1IVo

Your stub out pipe seems like it might be threaded, so steering clear of SharkBite would be wise. You’ll definitely need a threaded angle stop instead. And while you're at it, consider changing the supply hose to the toilet as well. For tools, just grab an adjustable wrench, and make sure to turn off the main water supply before you start!

Are you sure about that? It looks like a compression fitting to me. Just trying to clarify before moving forward.

If you’re having trouble with the SharkBite videos, I'd recommend not pushing ahead with it. It might be best to call a professional who can deal with the installation correctly. You could also consider replacing the line from the valve to the toilet while you're at it if you do decide to go for it.

I actually understand what they're showing, but it’s these extra parts that leave me scratching my head. Why include them if they’re not mentioned anywhere?

Honestly, I suggest returning the SharkBite. It looks like you currently have a compression fitting, which can be replaced with another compression fitting easily. They are just about as simple to install and generally more reliable, too.
