I'm planning to plant about 200-400 tulip bulbs soon, and I'm wondering if I need to dig them up each spring or if they can stay in the ground. Is early December too late for planting, or can I do it sooner?

It really depends on where you live. For example, in Texas, tulips won’t last beyond one season because it doesn’t get cold enough during the winter. Make sure to check how your local climate affects tulip growth before planting. If you're in a warmer area, you might need to dig them up after the season ends to ensure they get the cold they need to flower again.
You don't need to dig up your tulip bulbs every spring; they can stay in the ground just fine. However, December is a bit late to plant them. Ideally, you'd want to plant them in the fall before the ground freezes, so they have time to establish before winter.

I'm in Tennessee; so should I dig them up too if I want them to bloom next year?
