I just harvested some seeds from a pepper and I'm wondering if I should let them dry out before planting them, or can I just plant them immediately?

Also, it's worth checking where your seeds come from. If the peppers were imported, they might have been treated with radiation or hot water to kill pests, and that could affect the seeds. Just something to consider before planting!
Just a heads up though—if you're using seeds from commercially grown peppers, they might be hybrids. That means the plants that grow from them may not look or taste like the original pepper. So, if you want to keep the traits of the parent pepper, you might want to choose heirloom varieties instead.
You don't need to dry them out! You can plant those seeds right away and they'll do just fine. In fact, I did the same with my Serrano pepper seeds straight from the cutting board, and they turned out great! 🙂

Oh, I didn't think about that! I got mine from a local market, so hopefully, they’re good.
