Hey everyone! I'm in the process of upgrading my travel trailer's battery system from lead acid to a lithium battery (200 Ah). I'm also planning to add an SAE port and a 200W solar suitcase since I already have a 105W panel on the roof. I won't be relying on my truck's alternator and the 7-pin connector for charging, but I still want to take any charge it offers. So, I'm wondering: is a DC to DC charger necessary for this setup? And will skipping this charger damage my stock Toyota Tacoma alternator? There's a lot of conflicting information out there, so I'd really appreciate any insights you have. Thanks!
