I planted some beautiful tulips last fall, and after visiting a gorgeous tulip festival, I'm inspired to plant even more in my yard! However, I read that their care involves digging up the bulbs after they die and then replanting them in the fall. Honestly, I'm not sure I have the time or energy for that each year. Is it possible for me to just deadhead them after they bloom and leave the bulbs in the ground? I'm located in western Washington and I'm unsure of my exact gardening zone.

When I lived up north, I totally neglected my tulips and they were fine! Sometimes less is more when it comes to gardening. Haha!
You really don’t have to dig them up every year! If you want more tulips, just dig them up to divide every few years but leaving them in the ground is perfectly fine. I’ve never bothered with storing bulbs and mine are still doing great!
I've got tulips in northern Illinois and I just planted them four years ago and then basically forgot about them. They’re thriving! Sometimes, I think the best thing is to let them be. They look great regardless!
Do you do anything special, like deadheading or cutting them back? Because they look stunning!
