Do Mosquito-Repelling Plants Really Work?

I'm curious if anyone has actual experience with plants that effectively repel mosquitoes. Specifically, if I were to designate a part of my yard and only plant one type of mosquito-repelling plant, would it truly keep the mosquitoes away?

The citronella plant is another popular option. I usually crush the leaves and apply them to my skin. They’re pretty easy to grow too! Just cut a piece, put it in water, and it’ll start rooting in no time.

I've heard that yarrow can be effective against mosquitoes. I’ve actually got some growing wild in my yard, and it seems like there aren’t as many mosquitoes in that area, especially after I cut it down and let out its scent!

That’s interesting! I’ve got a couple pots of yarrow, and I've definitely noticed a big decrease in mosquito bites this year compared to last!

Honestly, I’ve come across a lot of claims, but I've yet to see solid proof that any plant can fully keep mosquitoes at bay. If only there was an easier way, I’d be all over those plants myself!
