I recently visited Home Depot to explore Packout storage options before the upcoming Acme sale, and I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell coming from every unit I opened. Is this a common issue with Packouts? Do I need to let them air out before using them?

Yeah, it's pretty normal for storage containers to have a strong smell out of the box. Most brands, including Packout, tend to have this issue. I've found that the Toughbuilt Stacktech products are generally odor-free, but it's all about sniffing them out yourself! My son and I even make a game out of finding the worst smelling toolbox when we're at the store.

Haha, that sounds like a fun game! I think I would lose that challenge every time.
