I'm dealing with a ton of squirrels in my garden! They're digging to hide their nuts, munching on my flower shoots, and even stealing my avocados and tomatoes. I've read that cayenne pepper might help keep them away. I have a recipe for a spray, but I'm leaning toward using the straight powder instead. I just ordered 5 pounds of it. Has anyone had success using cayenne pepper for this purpose?

Totally, I've tried cayenne pepper and it definitely works! Just keep in mind that you'll need to reapply it often, especially after rain. Your mileage may vary depending on how crafty those squirrels are, though.
Cayenne can do the trick for sure! I used a mix of cooking spray and cinnamon powder around my pumpkins, and it kept the squirrels away. Works great with what you've got on hand!
Yeah, I've used cayenne too! It's effective. Just a heads up: wear gloves when applying it, and remember to wash your hands afterward before doing anything else. You don't want to accidentally touch your face afterward!
