Does Flooding a Cookie Slab in Epoxy Prevent Cracking?

I'm curious if anyone has ever fully soaked a cookie slab in epoxy, rather than just applying a coat. Will this technique actually seal the slab and prevent it from cracking in the long run? I'm aware that it might be expensive, but I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried this and how well it worked over time!

I think this could work! When you fully seal the wood with epoxy, it keeps the moisture inside stable, which could help prevent cracking. I did something similar with a river table and coated both slabs thoroughly; they didn’t move at all! By the way, you don’t need to completely drown the cookie—brushing epoxy on all sides can save you some cash and still be effective.

But wouldn’t that mean the cookie might never dry properly? If you had a vacuum chamber, it could help with that!
