I just planted some potatoes in my garden but didn't check the recommended depth and dug holes about 30-40 cm deep. I later found out that they should be around 8-10 cm under the surface. Is this a big problem, or do you think they'll still make it to the surface eventually?

It really depends on how compact the soil is above where you planted them. If it’s loose, there's a good chance they’ll push through and reach the surface. But if it’s compacted clay, they might struggle and could even rot.

The soil is quite loose. Do you think I should dig them up and replant them, or just leave them and see what happens? I planted 80 potatoes!
