I've noticed that my shower head drips very slowly, about 1 to 2 drips per minute. I'm trying to figure out if the issue is with the shower head itself or if it's more likely related to the valve. Any insights on what could be causing this?

It's usually the cartridge inside the valve that's the culprit. If you have a Moen faucet, check for the Moen 1225 cartridge. You might need a specific tool to get it out, so avoid those generic ones if possible!
Most likely, it's the valve that's causing that drip. If it keeps dripping consistently, that's a sign the valve isn't sealing properly. Sometimes, you might hear a splash later when the water in the lines settles, but if it's a steady drip, it's definitely the valve at fault.
I'd say it's definitely the valve as well. Think of the shower head as just an extension of the plumbing, so if there's a drip, it usually traces back to the source—either the valve or the pressure in the lines. If it's constant, it’s the valve for sure.
