I'm looking for some fun and low-maintenance plants to put in mini terracotta pots (about 2.5 inches) for my class of 10-year-olds. I want something they can easily take care of since it's a project for them to decorate and watch grow. Any suggestions?

Succulents are a fantastic choice! They're super easy to take care of, and since they’re smaller, they’ll fit perfectly in those mini pots. Just make sure to explain the importance of not overwatering them – that can be the trickiest part!
You might want to consider pothos or philodendron. You can get a larger plant and take cuttings to propagate, which is a fun way for the kids to see how new plants grow from existing ones. Just check how much light you’ll have in the classroom to keep them happy!
I've got some light, plus there's a metal shelf outside my classroom that gets a good amount, so that should work!
