Ever Keep a Plant You Can’t Stand?

I'm curious if anyone else out there holds onto a plant they genuinely can't stand. I received an Alocasia for Christmas, and let me tell you, keeping this guy alive has been a total drama. It drinks so much water, and I'm wondering if any of you have similar experiences with a plant that you take care of but kind of despise at the same time! 923;

I got an Alocasia Melo from a friend, and it was already struggling when I got it. No matter how perfect the conditions were, I just couldn't make it happy, so I eventually gave up and tossed it. It was so frustrating! ?

I’m seriously feeling that too! It’s like the plant just enjoys making life harder for me! ??‍♀️

I’m taking care of a lemon 'tree' grown from a seed for a friend, and wow, what a monster! It has no appreciation for sunlight or soil conditions. As soon as it warms up, I'm moving it outside to let nature take its course!

My monstera is basically in a love-hate relationship with me. Her leaves are tiny and floppy, and I only get one new leaf every couple of years. But on the flip side, alocasias love my place, so I guess we just don’t vibe!

It's definitely not your fault! Sometimes plants just have their off days, you know? ?
