Experiencing Wobble Issues with My DWS779 Mitre Saw – Need Help!

I've got a DWS779 sliding compound mitre saw with the date code 2022-15-CJ, and I'm dealing with a serious wobble. Initially, I thought the issue was with the blade, so I replaced it, but that didn't fix anything. I'm starting to think it might be part [141275](https://www.toolservicenet.com/en/c//p/PN141275) that needs replacing, but I'm not sure based on the diagrams. I've been hesitant to reach out to DeWalt because I feel like customers aren't taken care of anymore. Nonetheless, I have some projects coming up that require precise cuts, and I don't want to ruin materials or damage blades. Has anyone replaced this part and had success?

Don’t overlook DeWalt’s customer service; they’re usually really helpful, especially with safety concerns. It’s worth a call!

Wobble can happen for several reasons. A quick and affordable fix is to replace the blade washers (parts 24 & 26). Also, consider getting a new blade spacer (part 25) if yours is missing. It's often a simple solution that saves a lot of frustration!

Thanks! That sounds like something I can handle. I'll definitely check those parts out when I order.

I haven't had any problems with my DWS779, but I’ve seen that some saws from prior date codes had issues—maybe there’s something DeWalt knows about your model? Unfortunately, looks like you’re outside the 3-year warranty though. Check their recall site; the only thing listed is for the rear guard assembly, which might not help in your case.
