I just had our yard landscaped after struggling with awful, dry conditions and bindweed taking over. We went for a xeriscape design with rocks and pebbles, and I've been manually pulling the pesky bindweed out. But it got so bad that I finally agreed with my husband to use the herbicide EndRun carefully, applying it sparingly to tackle the bindweed quickly. Now that we've sprayed, I'm having a meltdown over it! We have a three-year-old who loves playing in the rocks, and I'm terrified we've made the area toxic. We haven't let her near it since the application. Am I overreacting? How long does this stuff linger in the soil and rocks? I'd really appreciate any reassuring advice—it would help me make informed decisions about letting my daughter (and our cats) around that area again. Also, I realize I sound paranoid, but being a new parent magnifies all my worries!

The good news is that the re-entry interval for EndRun is 48 hours, so if it's been longer than that since you sprayed, your area should be safe. Just give it some time!

Thanks! I’ve been worried because there’s not a lot of data on how long the herbicide lasts in soil or on rocks. Those rocks are what make me really anxious since my daughter loves to dig around them.
