Hey all! I'm on the lookout for a reliable flat top table saw blade. I make picture frames and I'm considering selling some of my work. I usually use splines in the corners for added design and strength in the miter joints. However, the issue I keep facing is that my current blades leave a notch inside the cut, which means I often have to use a bastard file to smooth it out. I'd really appreciate any recommendations you might have for a decent blade!

Check out the Ridge Carbide FTG blade; it does an amazing job! You can buy it directly from their site or look for it at other distributors that might offer a better price. It's perfect for what you're doing!
You might want to consider using rip blades since most of them have flat top teeth. They could give you the clean cuts you're looking for without the notches!
I use a Forest 3/8” kerf flat top blade myself, and it's been great. CMT has some good options too, plus I also use a router table spline jig which helps a lot!
