Hi everyone! I have a two-story home, and my daughter's bedroom is located on the second floor in a corner room that faces outside. During summer, it tends to get pretty warm even though my high-velocity AC system keeps most of the house cool. I plan to install curtains soon, but I'm also considering a more involved solution. I thought about adding a wall register high up on the wall she shares with our storage room, and placing a register low in the storage room. My idea is that the cold air would flow in from the high vent, pushing the warm air into the storage space. I aim to control sound as well by offsetting the vents. Do you think this method would help, or should I explore other options?

Have you tried window tinting? I installed it in some hot areas of my home, and the difference was amazing. Plus, it's not too expensive and pretty easy to apply!
Do you have a specific brand in mind? Is it applied on the inside or outside of the window?
Honestly, I think a window AC unit might be your best bet. There's no need to cut into your walls if you can just get an easy install. I did that for my son's room, and it worked wonders!
I've had the same issue in my tri-level house. A small window unit resolved it completely!
I’m a bit hesitant about sacrificing her window view for a window unit since she's so young. I might look into portable options instead.
Have you thought about using a vent fan booster? It could provide a slight temperature drop of around 3 to 5 degrees without major renovations. It might be worth it to check the airflow in her room, though.
I can measure the airflow tonight, but I doubt that's the issue with my AC system. People suggested using an anemometer to compare airflow with other vents.

Great suggestion! I’ll definitely consider window tinting.
