Forge vs High Output Batteries for Blowers: What’s the Real Difference?

I've got several M18 tools like a mower, trimmer, hedge trimmer, and blower, all using 8Ah high output batteries. I'm thinking about switching to an 8Ah Forge battery for my blower since it's a single battery model. What should I expect? Will I get better runtime, more blowing power, or both? And if so, how much of an improvement can I expect? Has anyone tried this change?

You’ll notice a slight boost in power with the Forge battery, but runtime will be pretty similar. The Forge batteries mainly offer better durability and can withstand more charge cycles compared to the high output ones. You'll see bigger performance differences with tools like grinders and hole hawgs, but for the blower, expect minimal changes.

I tested both battery types on a dual battery blower. With two 8.0 HO batteries, I got around 15 minutes of run time, but switching to two 8.0 Forge batteries gave me about 18 minutes, which is roughly a 20% increase in runtime. While I haven't directly compared HO 6.0 to Forge 6.0 yet, I plan to do that soon and will let you know how it goes!

Thanks for the info! Just to clarify, did you notice any increase in blowing power with the Forge batteries?
