Hi everyone, I'm a 17-year-old guy in the UK and I've been on the job hunt since I turned 16. I've applied to a ton of positions, gone to a few interviews, and even had a rough experience with one job after just one shift. It feels like I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. I've tried different methods of applying, like checking websites, emailing companies, and even walking into places, but nothing seems to lead anywhere. Any suggestions or advice would be really appreciated!

Try revamping your CV and personal statement. Use AI tools to help you, and make sure your application reflects the specific requirements of the job you’re applying for. It’s also helpful to research the STAR interview technique. When you reach out to the company, ask questions—even if you have to make one up! It shows you're interested, and they'll remember you when you go for the interview.
Have you thought about going through a temp agency? They can provide you with consistent work and valuable experience. Show up on time and do what's asked of you, and you’ll be surprised at the opportunities that come your way!
If you're looking for a job without a lot of interviews, consider warehouse positions. They often hire casual workers during busy seasons like Christmas, and you might find it easier to get your foot in the door without extensive interviews. Just walk into warehouses, ask if they’re hiring, and hand over your resume. It can be a stepping stone to something better while you’re still figuring things out.
