Frustrated with Milwaukee FCSG66 Track Saw – Any Solutions?

I've recently switched from my Milwaukee BLCS66 saw to the FCSG66 model, which is advertised as "track compatible." However, I ran into a major issue: when I tried it on a track, the blade was about 2 cm away from the anti-splitter strip. This makes it really inconvenient to use as a track saw, since I constantly have to double-check the alignment of the track. I get that the anti-split feature won't function properly, but that's not even my main concern. I would've definitely opted for a dedicated track saw if I was cutting on a daily basis. Sure, I could 3D print alignment jigs, but it seems like a hassle. Has anyone faced similar issues? Is there a workaround or a different baseplate that could help?

You might want to look into replacing the anti-splinter strip on your tracks. That could help align everything better with your new saw and potentially eliminate the gap you're seeing. Just a thought! Check out Home Depot or similar for options.

Interesting! Do you really think it'll cover the 20 mm gap between the track and the blade? I haven't noticed any wider strips available yet.

Honestly, returning it might be your best bet. I know it's a hassle since you bought it back in February, but if it's this frustrating, you shouldn't have to deal with it. Maybe consider selling it if you can—sometimes that's less annoying than trying to make a bad tool work.

Yeah, that’s fair. If I could just find the receipt... This whole situation is just ridiculous.
