Frustrating Setup with My Robot Mower 500—Help Needed!

I recently bought the Robot Mower 500 because I can no longer manage a regular push mower. After a few weeks of installing the guide wire (mostly buried), I was excited to try it out today. I set the date and time and attempted to enter the PIN provided in the instructions multiple times (both 1111 and 1234), but they didn't work. Now I'm stuck with a countdown timer that just keeps increasing. I took a break and removed the battery for half an hour, but when I put it back in and tried the PIN once more, the countdown reset to where it was last. I'm really at a loss here—what should I do next?

It sounds like you're having a tough time! I’ve heard that the PIN listed in the instructions can sometimes be wrong. You might want to try 2431 instead; that worked for others who faced similar issues. Also, it’s a shame that Lidl didn’t communicate about faulty instructions better—it’s super frustrating! Let us know if that new PIN does the trick for you.

I appreciate the tip! I'll try 2431 next.

That's weird! The 1111 PIN actually worked for me on the first try. Guess it must vary based on the unit or something.

Just a heads up—blades and screws aren't provided by Lidl, which is a bummer because you might find yourself needing replacements pretty soon since they only last a few weeks. I found some decent replacement blades and screws on Amazon, which might help you out if you need them in the future. Definitely get some Loctite for reusing screws to avoid issues later!

Good call on the screws! I heard that using short screws without threadlock can lead to problems down the line.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look for those on Amazon.
