Garage Door Remote Only Opens – What’s Wrong?

I'm having an issue with my garage door remote. It only seems to open the door, but when I try to close it, nothing happens. The button inside the garage works perfectly fine for both opening and closing. I've already tried unplugging the motor and cleaning the sensors but it's still just not functioning right. Could it be that my remote is broken? I'm really stuck on this, any advice would be appreciated!

Have you considered replacing the batteries in the remote? Sometimes even new batteries can be faulty, and it's worth a shot. Also, check if you have LED lightbulbs in the garage; they can interfere with the remote's signal. If it’s really cold outside, that might affect it too. Let me know if your sensors are clean—those can also be a big factor!

I just changed the batteries and do have LED bulbs. I’ll try taking them out to see if it makes a difference!
