Garage Door Remotes Stopped Working – Need Help!

I have a problem where my garage door opener remotes suddenly stopped functioning, even though the wired button and the wireless keypad are still working just fine. I'm using a 2009 Genie 2060L opener, and although the remotes (3-Button Compact Remote GI CT390-3) have fresh batteries that show 3.2V, they won't re-learn with the opener. I've followed the manual's instructions to erase and re-learn the remotes but to no avail. When I press the learn button, it blinks for about 30 seconds and then blinks quickly before stopping, indicating it's not learning the remotes. I've even tried disconnecting the bulbs, but that didn't help either. I'm wondering if there's possibly some interference from a nearby 5G WiFi hotspot or if I should consider getting a new intellicode board. Has anyone experienced this issue?

It sounds like a frustrating situation! Have you checked the remotes' batteries again? Sometimes, even new batteries can be bad. But honestly, considering the age of your opener (it's over a decade old), it might just be on its last legs. I wouldn't recommend investing in a new motherboard for such an old model either. It could also just be the remotes themselves; trying a new remote might be a good step.

I had a similar issue with my garage door openers! The best solution for me was to re-pair the remotes. If you haven’t had luck with that yet, it might be worth trying again. The fact that your keypad works suggests the receiver is probably fine, but it’s still strange to see all the remotes fail at once. Definitely look into getting a new remote to test if that's the issue!

I did try re-pairing, but it just wouldn't connect. I think it might be time to grab a new remote and see if that solves the problem.
