Garden Update: What’s Going Wrong?

I'm diving into new gardening adventures this year, but I'm starting to think my green thumb has shifted to a brown one, haha! I could really use some advice and comfort here. Here's the breakdown of my garden:

- **Garlic**: Planted 24 cloves last November, but only two are growing. When I checked, the others seem...gone. What happened?
- **Shallots**: These are thriving! Every one has big green stalks.
- **Onions**: No complaints here; they're all doing great.
- **Leeks**: I planted seeds two weeks ago and they're now about 2 inches tall. Planning to thin them out soon and they look promising!
- **Carrots**: I'm worried since I planted them two weeks ago and haven't seen any sprouts. This has been my worst year for carrots.
- **Arugula, Spinach, & Kale**: Started these from seeds and planted them about 4 weeks ago. The arugula and kale are growing well, but the spinach isn't getting any bigger.
- **Lettuce**: Planted from starts and they seem pretty sad, despite my daily watering efforts.
- **Blueberries**: I planted two this year; they aren't growing much but they're not dead, so that's something!
- **Strawberries**: Planted 20 bare roots; only about 8 have taken, but those are thriving.
- **Tomatoes, Green Beans, Peppers**: All the starts look great and are growing well.
- **Broccoli**: Four starts have been in for three weeks and look okay, although they have some purple/pink on the bottom leaves. I also have two other seed-started plants that are doing better.
- **Raspberries**: Planted 8 canes; 4 are growing steadily, 2 are showing potential, and 2 seem like duds.

I welcome any advice or reassurances!

You've got a good mix of successes and challenges, but don't forget to celebrate your wins, especially those shallots and onions! Berries require some patience, so don't stress too much—they will reward you eventually. And remember, gardening is about learning from each season!

Thanks a bunch! I know the berries are a long game, just wish my garlic was doing better!

Honestly, it sounds like you’re doing pretty well overall! Carrots can take a while to come up, so don't give up on them just yet. And if your spinach isn't flourishing, it might just be too hot for it now, so consider swapping it out for something else!

Good to know! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the carrots!
