I have a GE dishwasher model GDT650SYVFS that's only a year old, and I've been taking good care of it. Recently, it started making loud noises like it's struggling to push out water. When it finished a cycle, the dishes were still dirty, and the soap dispenser was still closed, leaving everything all mushy and wet. After cleaning it out, it would sometimes start, but then it suddenly stopped and displayed an H2O error. We checked and cleaned the filter, but found cloudy, oily water collecting under it. After draining and cleaning, it worked fine again with a normal wash. However, it's been inconsistent; it works sometimes and fails others, especially with smaller loads. Additionally, the little light on the door doesn't turn on during these issues. We tried running a rinse cycle with no soap, and it worked, but we're still facing problems. Has anyone else dealt with this? What could be going on?

I had a similar situation where my dishwasher would fill and then just drain unexpectedly. Turned out to be a bad water sensor. You might also want to consider resetting your circuit breaker. Sometimes just cutting the power for a few minutes can reset any weird errors. Might help your situation.
If it's still under warranty, definitely reach out to the manufacturer for repairs. I know it can be frustrating, but they should be able to help. Just be persistent and keep following up with them!
Sounds like your water inlet valve might be failing. A common culprit for the H2O error is a blockage in the water supply line or a faulty valve. It's worth checking for any obstructions. I’d recommend making sure your drain line is clear too, as sometimes a blockage there can prevent water from draining out and create issues.
But if there was a blockage, why does it work fine after cleaning? We're really puzzled about this. We don’t want to mess with anything and void the warranty, but I’ll definitely consider looking deeper into that!

I appreciate the suggestion, but I've already contacted them. They’ve been pretty slow to respond and mostly just through text. I’m hoping to get some quick fixes in the meantime.
