Hey everyone! I just bought my first house and I'm super excited to finally start a garden in my backyard. I'm looking to grow a few plants and some veggies for my family, but I really don't know where to start. I've always wanted a garden, but never had the chance before now. I'm thinking about possibly setting up a greenhouse since I live next to a creek and want to keep animals out. Is a greenhouse a good investment? Also, I'm considering raised garden beds since bending down can be tough for me and my family. Which veggies and flowers would you recommend for a complete newbie? I'd appreciate any tips or advice you have on getting started!

Congrats on your new home! I’m also a new gardener and have learned tons from TikTok. There are many creators who share great tips based on your gardening zone. I also got a book on mini farming which has been super helpful, and I recommend checking out the Planter app for guidance. Good luck with your gardening journey!
Awesome that you’re starting a garden! Begin with veggies like peas, beans, and tomatoes, plus marigold flowers. Each has its quirks—you’ll need to plant peas earlier since they can't handle the heat. Beans can be planted every 2-3 weeks for a continuous harvest, and tomatoes require support, so consider what variety you want. Doing some YouTube research on each will help you a ton!
