Got a Zipper That’s Unzipped on One Side—Any Quick Fixes?

My skort's zipper got separated on one side while I was in the bathroom, and I'm looking for a quick fix without any tools. I only have a mini nail kit and a pencil case with me. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this in a pinch?

In case you're in a bind, if you have a piece of yarn or any string, tying that around your waist can work as a makeshift belt, especially if your shirt is long enough to cover things up!

Thanks, I actually did that! It worked pretty well to hold everything together.

You might try asking a receptionist if you’re at work; they often have emergency repair supplies. I always keep a tiny sewing kit handy for situations like this!

If you can’t get it fixed on the spot, a temporary solution could be to manually zip the two sides together up to the slider. It might take a bit of force to make it work again—but it gets you by until you can do a permanent fix!
