Got My Miter Saw, But What About the Free Stand?

Asked By CraftyNinja99 On

I ordered a miter saw from Lowe's that came with a free stand. I was notified that part of my order was ready for pickup, and when I went in, the employee handed me the saw but mentioned the stand had been special-ordered. Luckily, he offered me one from the shelf to save me a second trip and assured me he'd sort out the online details. Now, a week later, my Lowe's account still shows that I haven't picked up the stand and that I need to collect it. Should I go grab another stand, or should I explain to them that I've already picked one up if that same worker isn't around? Feeling a bit torn here, any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, it's not like you need two stands anyway. Just ignore the account notification; it's not a big deal. If anyone asks, you can just say you already picked it up, and that’s the end of it. No need to bring it up unless it actually becomes a problem.

Just to keep things straight, don't go after a second stand. The employee was super helpful, and it sounds like he took care of you. If you try to double-dip, it could create an issue, especially if he’s not there to back you up. It’s always better to follow the right path and avoid any trouble.

Totally agree! It’s just not worth the bad karma. Better to stick to what’s right.

Hey, I get the temptation, but seriously, just let it go. You’ve got your stand, and there's no need to complicate things. Companies like Lowe's make plenty of money, and they can handle a mistake here and there. It’s just about doing the right thing in the end.

Exactly! Just think about how much better it feels to do the right thing.
