I'm considering growing some gooseberries in a pot outside. Is it feasible to do this? If so, which variety would work best? I'm planning to use a pot that's around 30-40cm in diameter.

Definitely, you can grow gooseberries in a pot! Just keep in mind that the first year is usually all about growth and you might not get any fruit. But after that, they should do pretty well!
I just planted one in a pot this week, so I'm hopeful it’ll thrive! I grew some on my balcony before, and they did well. Just ensure it gets enough sunlight!
Yes, they're quite happy in pots! I've had mine for a couple of years now, and while it took some time to get going, I'm finally getting a good harvest for jam. It hasn’t required much maintenance either, which is a bonus!
That's great to hear! What variety are you growing?
If you need suggestions for varieties, look for ones labeled as 'compact' or 'dwarf'. They work best in pots as they don’t take up too much space.

I’d recommend looking into container-friendly varieties.
