Has Anyone Built Their Own Inground Pool?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if anyone here has attempted to build their own inground pool? My husband is an electrician and he's pretty handy, but he's feeling a bit anxious about getting the digging and grading just right. I came across a company called Royal Swimming Pools that offers pool kits. Has anyone used their kits, or can you share your DIY inground pool experiences? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I helped build a pool back in the 70s, and it’s still going strong! If you're handy, you can definitely do it. Just make sure you have the right tools and maybe some good friends to help out—it makes everything easier!

I’ve built an inground pool before and it went pretty smoothly! Just take it one step at a time and you'll be fine. I recommend you have a solid plan before you start digging, though; that helps a lot.

Totally agree! Just remember to take breaks and don't rush. That’s when things can start to go wrong.

One thing I learned is that you'll want a decent broom—trust me, it makes a difference when you're trying to keep things tidy while working!
