So, Delta is asking me to desolder the start and run capacitor from my saw to test them. This seems a bit sketchy to me, but I'm willing to try it out. I'm curious if anyone else has gone through this and how to properly test these capacitors. Any advice?

Testing starter capacitors can be tricky! You might want to use your multimeter set to ohms. A good capacitor should briefly move the needle before returning to infinity. Just don’t touch the leads directly, or you’ll mess up the reading with your body’s resistance. This isn’t a full capacitance test, but it's a basic way to determine if they're functioning. Good luck with it!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll give that a try. What about the micro switch they mentioned next?
