Has Anyone Else Experienced Issues with the M12 Random Orbital Sander?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if anyone else has faced problems with the M12 random orbital sander. I've got a couple of issues: 1) Whenever I connect it to a vacuum, it gives me quite a shock (only when the vacuum is running). 2) The batteries fit so tightly that it's nearly impossible to remove them from the sander. Has anyone else run into these problems?

You're not alone with the battery issue! I've heard a few folks mention that the batteries can be really tough to get out. As for the shocks, it seems like it's a common problem with sanders due to static electricity from the dust in the hose. Some people suggest running a grounding wire along the hose to help with that.

Great tip on the grounding wire! I'll definitely give it a shot. Do you happen to know if Milwaukee’s new vacuum hoses have built-in grounding, or are they just the same as the old ones but in a flashy red?
