I'm curious if battery explosions or fires are common with power tools. Has anyone had such an experience?

I’ve been using Dewalt batteries for over 7 years and never had any issues at all. It seems pretty rare!
In my 15+ years in the field, I've never seen a battery catch fire. I did use some intense setups with vapes, but thankfully, no issues with battery venting there either. It seems like as long as the batteries are maintained and not defective, they should be safe.
I've been using power tools for over two decades and have never encountered a battery explosion or fire. I've also never seen one happen, thankfully!
Yeah, if the batteries are handled correctly, there shouldn't be a risk. Just gotta avoid those third-party chargers!
