Has anyone found a quality freestanding tub under $2000?

I'm looking to replace our old drop-in soaking tub with a freestanding one, preferably around 60 inches. Since we don't use the tub often, I'd like to keep the cost under $2000. This is the only bathtub in our house, as we converted the other bathroom into a walk-in shower. Has anyone had a good experience with a freestanding tub in this price range?

Just snagged a fiberglass tub and surround combo for $800 at Lowe's. Super happy with the purchase!

Just a warning—avoid the Mirabelle brand. Ours cracked while filling, which caused a leak. I didn’t think that could happen, but now I know to be cautious with certain brands.

Yeah, I have a freestanding soaking tub that I got for around $800 a few years ago when we remodeled our bathroom. We made sure to pick one that could easily be removed if needed, which is handy if someone ever needs a wheelchair. Definitely a solid choice for a retirement home setup!

Last year, I bought a Maidstone 60-inch freestanding tub for less than $2000 and I’m really impressed with the quality. No complaints so far!

I bought an acrylic freestanding tub from Home Depot for about $700. It’s pretty sturdy and isn’t too cold to the touch, which is great when filling it up. Just a heads up, you might want to insulate it and give it a solid base—lots to consider like plumbing and tile updates, which can add to the overall cost, so keep that in mind if you're sticking to a strict budget.

Definitely agree on the insulation! It helps maintain the water temperature and you want to make sure it's stable.
