Hey everyone! Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm curious about recent experiences with Home Depot for carpet and installation. I noticed they currently charge $0.49 per square foot for installation, which includes basic furniture moving and old carpet removal. Plus, they advertise a lifetime installation guarantee. I've usually opted for local businesses, but they tend to be pricier. My concern is also about what would happen to the warranties if Home Depot were to go out of business. Any thoughts?

The quality of service can really depend on your location since they subcontract a lot of the work. My wife and I used Home Depot about five years ago, and it saved us a ton of money! Everything turned out great and it’s still holding up, but I've heard mixed reviews from others who had bad experiences. It can be a bit of a gamble, but if you're on a budget, it might be your best option.
Honestly, warranties for carpets can be tricky unless you're constantly moving your furniture around for cleaning, which a lot of warranties require. Just keep that in mind. You might want to dig deeper into what their warranty entails before making a decision.
