I'm thinking about using those epoxy kits from Home Depot to paint my garage floor. We do park our cars there in the winter, and I've heard people saying that the road salt ruins the coating and that you might only get one season out of it. Has anyone here had a good or bad experience with these kits?

Just a heads-up, I’m in Ontario, Canada, and I think our salt usage might differ from other places. We seem to apply a lot more salt here! Hopefully, that doesn’t affect the coatings for anyone considering it!
I live in the Northeast and used one of those kits at my last house. Thankfully, I didn't have any problems with salt damage. The only thing I noticed is that the area in front of the garage door, which gets sun exposure, did yellow over time. Otherwise, I was pretty happy with it!
I tried the Rust-Oleum product and really prepped the surface before applying it. Luckily, the magnesium chloride from road treatments didn't seem to affect it, but I did face issues with heat from my car tires, which caused peeling around the tire positions after just a year. I wouldn’t recommend DIY’ing it again due to the hassle of removing and re-coating if it goes wrong—not worth the savings for me!
That peeling usually happens if you skip putting down a clear top coat or if moisture comes through the slab. I've switched to using industrial coatings like Benjamin Moore Corotech because they’re way more durable and come in any color. My last garage looked stunning with a Ferrari showroom vibe! ?
Maybe not the salt type, but definitely the amount! Ontario really loves its salt!
