I'm facing a big move to Germany in about four months, and I'm really nervous about bringing my beloved collection of succulents with me. I know I need to get phytosanitary certificates, and I've been looking into the import process, but it's pretty overwhelming. I've had pest issues in the past, so I'm worried about the possibility of them being taken or destroyed during the move. I tried reaching the USDA but haven't gotten any answers yet. Any advice or experiences on moving plants internationally would be super helpful!

Another tip is to join r/houseplants too. It's a larger community, and you might find more people with firsthand experience importing plants to Germany. There’s a lot of good advice out there! Don't stress too much; it’s tough, but you can manage it!
It sounds stressful, but you're definitely not alone! I've read that you need a phytosanitary certificate for all plants coming from the US to Germany, so make sure to get that sorted out. I’d also recommend checking in with the German customs to ensure you're following all the rules. Good luck with the move, and I hope your plants make it safely!
Yeah, definitely contact German customs! They should have the most accurate info about what you need to do.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely check it out. Just trying to keep all my plants safe!
