Has Anyone Successfully Coated Their Garage Floor?

Hey everyone! I'm curious about garage floor coatings like epoxy or stains. Has anyone managed to do this on their own and been happy with the results? I'm particularly worried about hot tire pickup if I attempt it myself, but hiring someone feels too pricey. I understand that preparation is key, so if you have good experiences with specific products or methods, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks!

I did a coating on my workshop floor a few years back and it’s held up nicely, although the product I used isn’t available anymore. It was an epoxy system with a base coat, flakes, and a clear top coat. One downside is that the color has shifted from gray to a kind of beige over time, which might be why they discontinued it. Thanks for the info! Did you grind or etch your floor during prep, and did you have any issues with tire pickup or peeling?
